Unable to Install windows 8 RP using Bootable USB Drive?

I have an USB 3.0 card having 16 GB Storage capacity. I used MS USB/Dvd tool to make it bootable for installing windows 8 RP of 64 bits. In Bios I have set Boot Priority to:
USB HDD
USB FDD
HDD
I am using Samsung Series 9 ultrabook, NP900X3B-AO1US. But I am not able install windows 8 RP using this bootable USB. I am surprised with this error as It worked fine for installing windows 8 CP without creating any problem.

Dear Friend,
According to me the USB card which you will use to install Windows 8 in your computer, process you made it bootable etc. are all right.

But, in BIOS you have gone wrong, In BIOS, the Boot Priority Series will be like this:

USB FDD
USB HDD
HDD

That means "USB FDD" should be on first position, not on second.

Use this method to get your problem solved.
After using this method also, if you are unable to Install Windows 8, then there may be a reason that your USB card is not BOOTABLE and during startup BIOS is unable to recognize it.
(if your USB card is not bootable make it BOOTABLE and follow the steps again)

Hope this helps you.

Hi dere,
i think you have done wrong.
Just follow thes e steps:
Its almost good that you made your sd card bootable and also copied windows 8 Release Preview in it.
But just do the following when going to install.
while booting up your notebook PRESS F8 and then goto BIOS setup and then select the USB KEY which shows your SD CARD NAME and not only USB KEY or HDD.
and then go back and REBOOT.
Hope it will help....

Hi Friend,

To Make the Bootable USB Drive you need to use the Software "Naivecorp win to Flash tool" to make Bootable USB Drive.

>> Use this to make Bootable USB Drive.

>> Now Plug in it into System.

>> Start the System.

>> Press F8 for Bios Setting.

>> Now Go to Boot Priority and Select USB Drive Priority First.

>> Press F10 and Save Changes.

>> Now you can Boot the Windows 8 and install it from USB Drive.

I hope you will understand.

All the Best

Re: Unable to Install windows 8 RP using Bootable USB Drive?

Dear friend,

The USB HDD stands for USB hard disk drive.
The USB FDD stands for USB floppy drive.
The USB FDD configuration is obsolete in new computers now. It canít be emulated on modern hard disk drive.

To solve your problem check whether the USB ports and related controller are enabled in to the BIOS options.
If these are not enabled then the computer will not be able to recognize the USB device.
The USB Legacy/keyboard support must be enabled in the BIOS options.

Thanks!
