Unable to open any programs or shortcuts on Windows Vista

Whenever I try to start up a program available in my PC running on Windows Vista, I found the error message “This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Create an association in the Set Associations control panel”. Sometimes, I get the message saying “The version of this file is not compatible with the version of Windows you're running. Check your computer's system information to see whether you need an x86 (32-bit) or x64 (64-bit) version of the program, and then contact the software publisher”. The same issue can be found while clicking on the shortcuts available in your system. How can I avoid this error message?

As a first step, launch the Task Manager option by clicking the keys Ctrl+Shift+Esc on the keyboard. You can also click the ‘Task Manager’ option available in the menu pop up on the screen after right clicking the task bar. Press the ‘Processes’ tab and locate the AV.EXE process. Click the ‘End Process’ button next to it. Locate the Malwarebytes and right click on it. Select ‘Properties’ from the available menu and press the ‘Shortcut’ tab. Then, you need to check the target line to find out the location of exe file. Right click on that file and rename it as ZZMbam.exe. Double click on that file to run it and then rename it back to previous name.

    Hello friend..

I think you install the program does not supported the windows vista..

Windows vista are come in two type of x86 (32-bit) or x64 (64-bit) version so you need to find the window vista version then you install the program as you supported the windows vista..

Every program come with both type of version so you install as your requirement...

Then your program not create any error...

    All the Best!!

    Hi,

You possibly have infected system which is stopping you from opening the desired program.

Scan the system with a good Antivirus-Malwarebyte-Antyspyware and it will take some time. Once it is done Shut the system.

Boot the system again and see the difference,

    Thanks.
