Unable to open search box results in the same tab of Mozilla Firefox of Windows Vista

I use Windows Vista in my System. When I search anything, it is showing the results in the new tab. I need them to be shown in the same tab. I need to know the solution. Please, anyone help me in solving the problem. Thank you.

Re: Unable to open search box results in the same tab of Mozilla Firefox of Windows Vista

STEP 1: Open Mozilla Firefox Web browser.
STEP 2: Type “about:config” in the address bar, hit Enter.
STEP 3: In the filter box, type “browser.search.open”.
STEP 4: Look for the result as “browser.search.openintab”.
STEP 5: Double – Click on it.
STEP 6: Change the value to “False”.
    STEP 7: Apply the changes.
STEP 8: Restart the System, your problem is solved.

    HI.
    Follow the below steps:

    >>Open firefox and type about:config in the addressbar and press Enter. It'll confirm, click on I'll be careful, I promise! button.
    >>Now type related in the Filter box and look for following boolean key:
    browser.tabs.insertRelatedAfterCurrent

    >>The entry "browser.tabs.insertRelatedAfterCurrent" would be set to true. Double-click on it or right-click on it and select "Toggle". It'll set its value to false.

Now Firefox will no longer open new tabs.

    Thank you.
