    Hi,
This happens to computers many a times and nowadays it happens this happens very often due to so much use of the net. See what happens is that while you use the net, you see some websites with offers you think you need and you login there and deadly viruses like trojan come into your computer. Initially you do not feel the trouble but later you see that when you open the computer, you are not able to work properly. As in your case you are not able to get the multitasking effects of your Personal Computer. There can be two methods to get rid of this.
    1) Format your computer. Now keep in mind that while doing this, you must first keep a backup of your files in a CD or other backup facilities. You would have to definitely format the C drive. This is the drive that gets in the actual problem. For formatting other drives, you have to see the necessity first.
2)This other option I am mentioning to you since you need it. This option should be only applied at times of an emergency need. Sign in your PC as an administrator. Then click on start button and ultimately go to System Restore option. From here select the option for restoring at a prior date. After the subsequent agreements on the options to restore, the process will start.

the problem may be caused due to the presence of viruses. By running many files at the same time or may be large data is saved in the hard disk of computer which results in hang and unable to perform one task at a time.

    Hello,
If you are getting such an error than you can try repairing it.
the repair can be done by inserting the Bootable disk and selecting the repair option from the options.
If the repair is not successful than you can always
    Re install the OS again.
There are also many repair tools available on the internet.
You can try and use one of those.

    All the Best

Friend, if you are unable to perform more than one task at a time, it might that your System is effected with Virus. Some times Virus stops System, to perform multi tasks.

This may due to the low performance of the System. In order to over come this, you install anti virus Software as Avast, Norton or Kaspersky.

This problem in your computer may occur mainly due to Viruses, Malwares, etc. that had attacked your computer.
They have corrupted system files and folders. That's why your system is not working properly.
You will have to re-install OS to eradicate this problem.

Also, if your RAM is less. This problem may come.
At least you must have 2 GB RAM, to run your Windows properly.

The reason behind it is processor.
As a modern processors use "multithreading" which allows you to perform concurrent processing.
The more cores(means the more clock cycles you can execute, the faster your system will perform.) you have, the better the work load is divided up.
That means the more processors you have, the more instructions that may be executed in a single instance.
That's why I would prefer Pentium 4, to you.....

    Hi there,

It seems you are using a really old PC that may be an outdated one. You need an performance gain to do multitasking smoothly.

Follow these easy steps to accomplish your job.

    * DELETE all temporary files and folders. (type %temp%, temp and prefetch in the RUN)
    * Remove any unnecessary files from Desktop and my Documents
    * Uninstall unnecessary software programs.
    * Clear COOKIES
    * clear up old system restore points.
    * turn off memory dump files.
    * use the disk clean up tool.
    * use NTFS compression to compress a complete drive partition.

You should also EMPTY THE RECYCLE BIN.

    THANK YOU..!!

    Hello friend..,

    * I saw your post these type of problems are occured rarely but it will be obtained due to some reasons:

->Either your system is consists of full virus, install best antivirus software to avoid it.

->Otherwise it will be happened due to the low configuration on your system that is for every system processor

can act as the main role in doing the tasks depending their range.

->processor can help in performing the "task in multi threading" concurrently.

->So my advice is to improve your processor range for to do at a time more than one task.

    hi,

its mainly casues because of virus attack to your pc.

so if your using any good antivirus then immediately scan entire system with that one.

if there is any virus is detected then just delete that one.

if the problem persists again then re install your os.

to get the system better in work.

    all the best.

Re: Unable to perform more than one task at a time in my computer?

    Hello friend,

I have the solution for your problem it is:-

Your system may filled with many number of software's. Which were
more than enough. So try to delete the unwanted files from those
files so you can make your system to run applications fast.

    Or

You go to the start menu and click 'Run' and there you type '%temp%'
Now a new window will open there you delete all those files as they are
    useless for your computer.

    Or

Your system may be affected by any virus. So it is better to install a
antivirus software and scan your computer for 'Virus'. If you found and
virus affected your computer immediately try to clean them or delete them.

I hope it will help you.

    Have a nice day.......
