Unable to perform windows backup due to error Windows backup error

I am using windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit) version. After using for six months, it started showing defects so I tried to perform a Backup but I am not able to do that due to an error message which appears in front of me whenever I start the backup process. The error message which appears is “Unable to perform windows backup due to error "Windows Backup:
The task image is corrupt or has been tampered with. (0x80041321)". Do you have any idea about this error? What should I do to solve this error?

    dear friend,

There are two ways by which you can solve the error.

    Method 1-

    Click on the Start button.

Type Run in the search box & click on the option appeared - It'll open the Run window.

You may also open it by pressing Windows key+R button together.

Type cmd in the edit field & press enter - it'll open the command prompt.

Type dir /al /d in the command prompt & hit enter.

You can locate all the reprise points mentioned after each "JUNCTION" word.

Point to the locations where you've found the junction files & right click individually on each.

Click on the Properties & select the General tab.

Make sure that it is of "Mounted Volume" type.

Close the properties window & delete the folder by pressing Shift+Delete.
Now try to make the backup file.

    Method 2-

Open RUN window in the same way mentioned above.

Type taskschd.msc in the edit field & press enter.

    Windows task scheduler will open.

Locate to Library > Microsoft > Windows > Windows Backup from the left pane.

    Select the General tab.
    Delete these two files.
    Automatic Backup task.

    Windows Backup Monitor task.

Now restart your computer & check for the error.

Re: Unable to perform windows backup due to error Windows backup error

    • Click Start button, type CMD in the Search program and files box and then press Enter.
    • In the Command Prompt window, type DIR /AL /S and then press Enter. The list of JUNCTION list is displayed.
To delete mounted volume reparse point, follow these steps:
    • Locate the reparse point you found, right click the reparse point icon and click Properties.
    • In the General tab, confirm the folder Type is Mounted Volume and then delete this folder.

Re: Unable to perform windows backup due to error Windows backup error

If you are not able to take backup of the contents of your computer and getting the error then you have to recreate the task scheduler in your windows ...Also for this you have to try out with modifying system registry in your windows...But this should be done at your own risk since this modification can harm your pc too...Dont forget to take backup of the system recovery before proceeding....

After that to recreate the task scheduler follow the steps given below :

    - Firstly click on start and open run
    - Type in regedit.exe and press enter
    - You will be prompted to a window where you have to click yes
    - After that you have go to the location HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\Current Version\Schedule key where you have to delete the subkeys
    - At last save all the changes and exit
    - Restart your computer and i am sure now you will be able to backup your data ...
