Unable to remove Properties from a file in Windows 7

I am using Windows 7 in my System. When I need to share a file, I need to remove all of its properties as it contains some information which should not be shared. But I do not know the exact procedure. Please, anyone help me in solving the problem.

    Follow these simple steps.
STEP 1: Right – Click on the file and select “Properties”.
STEP 2: “Properties” dialog box opens.
STEP 3: Tap on the “Details” tab.
STEP 4: Click “Remove Properties and Personal Information”.
STEP 5: “Remove Properties” dialog box opens.
STEP 6: Click “Remove the following Properties from the file”.
STEP 7: Select the Properties which you want to remove from the file.
STEP 8: If asked for password give it and confirm it by entering the password twice.
