Unable to view ‘Auto Play’ option while connecting Canon SX130 with PC upgraded to Windows Vista

When I connect Canon SX130 camera with my PC upgraded to Windows Vista, the ‘Auto Play’ option does not appear on the screen. I tried other cameras and I can find this option for them. What troubleshooting steps should I take to fix this issue with this specific canon model?

The first step required is open up the ‘Device Manager’ on your PC. Select the ‘Control Panel’ from the start menu for that after pressing the ‘Start’ button. Click the ‘System and Maintenance’ option available on the ‘Control Panel’ window after that. You can then find ‘Device Manager’ option on the screen. Click on it and type in the administrator password or provide confirmation while prompted. Once you get into the device properties dialog box, press the ‘Driver’ tab and click the ‘Uninstall’ button. Follow the instructions displayed on the screen afterwards and restart the PC. By the time you can view the desktop, launch the ‘Device Manager’ again and click the ‘Action’ button. Then, make a single click on ‘Scan for hardware changes’ option and follow the instructions pop up on the screen afterwards.

    Hello Buddy,
It is possible that the service provider by default did not provide this option or else it may have been blocked. If you received an installation cd with your camera, consider to run it first before plugging in the device. The resource CD/DVD has information about all the drivers of your device and is programmed to autorun, also provides an easy graphical wizard interface so that one can setup his/her device. Install all the tools found in that DVD, restart your PC and then plug in the camera, I am sure that it will work now. Thank You for your query.
Wishin you a merry x-mas and a happy new year in advance. :-)
