Re: Unable to view or download PDF files in Internet Explorer

Which version of Internet Explorer are you using? You haven't provided any information about the version so it would be difficult to provide you the working solution. However you can try the below given steps to fix this issue:
    1. First of all,Open your Internet Explorer and click on "Tools"
    2. After that move to "Advanced" Tab and then go to "Security" section. You will find this option under "Settings"
    3. Now check the checkbox which says "Do Not save encrypted Pages to disk"
    4. You have performed the necessary operations so click on "Apply" and then "Ok" to apply these changes.
    5. Once done close your Internet Explorer and relaunch the same.

    ==============================================

    Hi,

I am sure you must be getting this message- "The file is damaged and cannot be repaired"
If it is so,then this means that the files are not compatible with the existing version of Adobe Reader that you have in your system.
I will suggest you to upgrade to the latest version of Adobe Reader.
Once you'll do so,everything will work fine!

    Bye!

Re: Unable to view or download PDF files in Internet Explorer

    Repair Adobe reader or Acrobat

    1. Choose Start > Control Panel.

    2. Double-click Add Or Remove Programs.
    3. Select Acrobat and click Change.
    4. Follow the on-screen instructions to repair Acrobat.

      Reinstall Acrobat or Adobe Reader.
To ensure that the correct plug-in information is added to the Windows registry, reinstall Acrobat or Adobe Reader.
If you want the browser to open PDF files in a separate Acrobat window, then configure the browser to use Acrobat or Adobe Reader as a helper application. Then, when you select a PDF file in Internet Explorer or AOL, the browser opens the PDF file in an Acrobat window instead of the browser window.
To configure the browser to use Acrobat or Adobe Reader to open PDF files:

    1. Close your web browser.
    2. Start Acrobat or Adobe Reader.
    3. Choose Edit > Preferences.
    4. Select Internet in the list on the left.
    5. Deselect Display PDF in Browser, and click OK.
    6. Restart Internet Explorer or AOL.

    or try .....................

    1. Use the Windows Start menu to open the Control Panel.
    2. Select "Classic View" on the left panel if it isn't already enabled.
    3. Open the "Internet Options" control panel by double clicking.
    4. Select the "Security" tab and then click the icon labeled "Internet".
    5. Adjust the security level to "Medium-high" or lower. If there is no slider available, click the "Default level" button to enable the slider.
    6. Click "OK" to save the changes.
    Solution #2:
If the PDF Converter Professional web viewer is still failing after adjusting security settings, unregistering and re-registering the viewer may resolve some issues. Follow these steps to re-register the web viewer:
    1. Close out of all applications, especially Internet Explorer.
    2. Click "Start > Run" to open the run dialog. It is also possible to use the "Windows Key + R" keyboard combination to open the Run dialog.
    3. Use the corresponding command below to unregister the web viewer. The path will need to be adjusted if PDF Converter Professional was not installed to the default location:
      • regsvr32 /u "C:\Program Files\Nuance\PDF Professional 5\bin\IEPDFPlus.ocx"
      • regsvr32 /u "C:\Program Files\Nuance\PDF Professional 6\bin\IEPDFPlus.ocx"
      • regsvr32 /u "C:\Program Files\Nuance\PDF Professional 7\bin\IEPDFPlus.ocx"
      • regsvr32 /u "C:\Program Files\Nuance\PDF Professional 8\bin\GPlusDocServer.ocx"
    4. A dialog will appear stating that the unregister server succeeded. If any other message appears, check that the file location is correct.
    5. Open the "Run" dialog again using step 2.
    6. Use the corresponding command below to re-register the web viewer. The path will need to be adjusted if PDF Converter Professional was not installed to the default location:
      • regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\Nuance\PDF Professional 5\bin\IEPDFPlus.ocx"
      • regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\Nuance\PDF Professional 6\bin\IEPDFPlus.ocx"
      • regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\Nuance\PDF Professional 7\bin\IEPDFPlus.ocx"
      • regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\Nuance\PDF Professional 8\bin\GPlusDocServer.ocx"
    7. A dialog will appear stating that the register server succeeded. If any other message appears, check that the file location is correct.
    8. The web viewer should now function properly.
