Unexpected error has occurred when trying to connect USB device in Windows

My system runs with Windows Vista OS and I have done all the latest update but now I am facing some weird issue where whenever I try to connect my iPod it just gives the error message as “Unexpected error has occurred”. What does this mean? Why I am not able to connect USB device with my Windows system? Anyway to resolve this now?

You need to take one measure which can solve wll your problems related to iPod.

Your USB driver is possibly corrupt, need to change it.

Fo that do the following :

Click START--CONTROL PANEL--SYSTEM AND SECURITIES--DEVICE MANAGER--UNIVERSAL SERIAL BUS CONTROLLER--UNINSTALL, and remove the existing.
Click UPDATE DRIVER to install latest driver from microsoft compatible to your Windows Version.
    Exit and Reboot.

The problem shouldn't be there unless the iPod and USB cable has anything in them.

    Hello friend,

I have the solution for your problem just do as i say...............

1.Firstly check your USB port is working or not.

2.If that is not your problem then the problem is with the USB drivers.

3.So you make a right click on 'My Computer'.

4.Then you click on the option 'Manage' and then click on 'Device Manager'.

5.There you expand the 'Universal Serial Bus drivers'.

6.And then open the properties of the 'USB Drivers'.

7.Then you go to the 'Driver' tab and then click on 'Roll Back Driver' .

I hope by doing as i said you can solve your problem.

    Have a nice day.............
