USB devices suddenly not recognised by Windows 8

I have 3 USB ports on my laptop and use them to connect an external hard disk, a mouse and USB drive. Everything was working fine till a few days back when all my USB devices stopped working. I have done all the usual things such as removing and reinstalling the drivers, testing the devices on other computers etc. but none of them worked. why are my USB devices not working?

    Hi,

The steps those you have taken are fair but the problem remains the same and need to take the same step again.

Try the USB devices one by one and inserting in different Ports, what the result is.

Use a diagnostic program to check the condition of the ports.

Think of reinstalling the Widows8 once more.

    Thanks.

Check the wire which have gone to the USB..

then also you are not get.

    Hi friend,

As you are saying that you have tried in all the ways you can.

I think the problem is with the connections inside.

Open the CPU cabinet and check all the connecting wires are placed properly, check whether the wires are not broken.

If everything is well and fine then re-install the OS once.

If the problem is solved good, if not take it to the operator.

Hope i have helped you in getting relevant information.

    All the best

    Thanking you...
