In all cases, you may not be able to see the Microsoft Security Essentials icon right on the notification area. You need to tap on the arrow seen in the notification area in order to show hidden icons. The colour of the icon varies with the status of the computer. The significance of various colours of the icon is mentioned below.
    • Green colour signifies the status as "protected."
    • Yellow colour signifies the status as "potentially unprotected."
    • Red colour signifies the status as "at risk."

    dear friend,

Microsoft security essential is a free anti-virus software.

If you have small business or you are running PC in home then it is one of the good anti-virus protection software for you.

Because it runs efficiently in background & doesn't effect on computer performance.

If you have more than 10 PCs in your business then you have to download Microsoft System Center 2012 Endpoint Protection.

These two software are free of cost, easy to download & use, has auto-update facility & have comprehensive anti-virus protection.

But your PC must have genuine Microsoft Windows to run it- it doesn't run in Cracked OS system.

After scanning any item if you see-

Red color- The file contains infected programs.

Yellow color- The file has suspicious behavior.

Green color- The file is clean.

You must update your antivirus time to time to get the maximum protection from this.

    Hey friend,
Microsoft security essential shows 3 type of colour RED ,YELLOW and GREEN.

-Green means your system is protected and no need to worry.

-Yellow means your your antivirus found some problem ,
either it is not updated or it found some suspicious program.

-Red means your system is at risk and you have to take step urgently.
this is shown when it found any virus, or its database is totally outdated or it stops working and you have to manually starts it again.

you should update your antivirus regularly for proper protection against viruses.
