Video stops playing in VLC Player when minimized in Windows XP

I installed VLC Player in Windows XP System. When I minimize the player while playing the video, it stops playing it. Later when I maximize the player, it resumes the video. So, problem is that playback stops when the Player is minimized. Please, help me!
