Visual Studio 2005 fails to install in Windows XP System.

I need Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 to be installed on my Windows XP system, but I don't know what is the problem while trying to install the VS through the DVD, the process terminates in between returning an unexpected error. So tell me what procedure I have to follow in order to install Visual Studio 2005 on a XP machine?

    Hello,

You should have the following hardware configurations,

    1. OS Windows XP (with SP1)
    2. Ram 1 GB.
    3. Hard Drive Space 2 -4 GB.

Most likely your Vosual studio 2005 CD is corrupted. You should look for an alternate
Visual Studio 2005 cd somewhere. You can also download the Visual studio from the
internet as well. If you have any hardware problem then you could see the problem
during the Visaul studio operation and not on installation.

    Bye,

    Hello Friend ,

you are having a problem that Visual Studio 2005 fails to install in Windows XP System.

This problem may be occur by one of this reason ,

IF you trying to install Visual studio 2005 in Windows XP SP 1 then you can't install it.
Because the requirement of the Visual Studio 2005 is install in SP2 or higher version of XP.

This problem may also occur due to this reason , DVD from which you trying to install is corrupted or
the data could not been read by your drive ..
try to download and install from PC not from DVD.

    I hope you understand.

    Hello,

Well most probably the version you may be trying to install can be wrong check which service pack you are yousing and try

to install with the same version of Microsoft Visual Studio 2005..

or if you are recieving this error "fatal error CS0013: Unexpected error writing metadata to file" then you have to emty some space from

the C: drive, also check the dvd for any serious scraches and damages..
