    Hi,

The selected Russian language pack can be removed and English can be set as default language following the steps below.

"Control Panel" now has New Language preferences section which is the new "HQ" to find all Windows display languages in Windows 8.

The main view of "Language preferences" display languages those are enabled on system. You can see that. English (United States) generally is the display language "installed and enabled". With US keyboard layout. One place where one should go to add or change display languages is "Language preferences", Adding another language to your Windows, needs a simple click on “Add a language” link above the first tile to get the list.

Select language you want from the list.Type the first few letters of the language you want into the "search box", and the list is presented to you.

The language is added to your language list ,once selected by you, the display language is not instantly downloaded and installed until you select so. To add it as a display language, click "Options".

When a language pack is available, You will find a link to “Download and install language pack.”

To change to the newly installed display language, you’re required to select it as your primary language, by clicking “Make this the primary language,”.

In Windows 8 consolidated languages pack are handy and in one place for you, Language preferences is a clean, unified control.

    Thank you.
