    What to do if getting an alert 'virus protection is off' in Windows XP?

    Hi, i am having MSE in my windows system but still i am getting an error message that virus protection is off. I have reinstalled it with latest updates but still getting same error. How to resolve the matter as soon as possible!!

    Hi,

    After installing Microsoft Security Essentials the Taskbar and the Start Menu should show the listing of MSE.

    Click on it and the MSE will be displayed with every options.

    Click HOME and will see the status, wheather your system was scanned and in good health or not. An Icon of a house and a flag at the top of that with green color will define a clean protected system, a red house and flag will define unprotected system, scan the system and then possibly the message will not appear again.
