    Hi,

    Try a simple trick.

Get into the graphics option in the Windows.

Select another screensaver for the system and apply that.

Reboot. Wait and watch if the screensaver is active or not. If active then keep it or get back to the options and set the one you prefer.

This will solve your problem , also think about a virus cleaning measure.

    Thanks.

    Windows 7

    • If the SCRNSAVE.EXE registry value is "C:\Windows\wlxpgss.scr," locate the FolderPath registry value in the following path:HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows Photo Gallery\Slideshow\Screensaver

Browse to the folder that is indicated in the registry value, and then delete any invalid photo shortcuts in the folder and in the subfolders.
    • If the SCRNSAVE.EXE registry value is "C:\Windows\system32\PhotoScreensaver.scr," no action can be taken because theSCRNSAVE.EXE registry value is encrypted.
    Or follow the steps below:

    1. Open Power Options by clicking theStart button, clickingControl Panel, clickingSystem and Maintenance, and then clickingPower Options.
    2. On the Select a power plan page, selectBalanced orhigh performance from the list ofpower plans.
