    It occurs when you are using temporary profile to log on Windows Vista PC. So you have to copy your data into your New account by creating new one. The second option is modification in Registry settings but it can cause to prevent your PC from booting.
    After deleting profile from computer properties dialog box, Follow the procedure:

    -> Right click on Computer icon and select properties
    -> Choose change setting and go to System Properties
    -> Click on Advanced tab
    -> You will see User profiles, click on setting
    -> Select profile for deleting and click on Delete
    -> Now, go to start option and Type 'regedit' in search box
    -> Navigate to the registry subkey:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windo ws NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList
    -> Do right click on SID and delete it and log on your PC then can create new profile.

    Hi,

    In order log in to your Windows Vista, do the following.

    Safe Boot by pressing the F8 key after POST checking, see if you can proceed or not. if successfull edit profile.

    Right click "Computer" > "properties" > "change setting" > "System Properties" > "Advanced" > User profiles, > "settings" > "profile" > "Delete" ,
    Now, go to "start"and Type "regedit" in search box
    Find the subkey : HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windo ws NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList
    Right click on "SID" , delete it and log on to your PC . Create new profile.

    Thanks.
