    What to do if unable to find control panel icons after upgrading Windows XP?

    Previously i was using windows 98 then i decided to upgrade it to windows XP professional. Now, having issue, some icons of control panel has been washed away, and nothing appearing on screen. Is there anyone who is facing the same issue, help me!!

    Hello you may have problem with your OS installation ..

    >> if you want solve your problem then you have to re install your OS ...

    >> or just check there is any critical virus is not there in your system ..

    The missing icons issue can be solved by the following process.

    Click Start--click Run--type services.msc--OK.
    Double click on the services you want to start, click Start,
    In the Startup type select Automatic,
    Click thr Log on tab,
    Click Local Systems account,
    Click OK.
    If prompted for restart, click YES.

    This should give you back your missing icons.

    hi dear friend.......to solve this issue simply restore the windows settings that is


    first go to the start menu and click RUN


    and type in the RUN as msconfig and press ENTER key


    after that a window will be opened in that window choose the TOOLS TAB


    now choose system restore option from the suggested list


    and click the LAUNCH button from the bottom of the window


    then click NEXT and select the restore to previous state option and click NEXT


    then choose the DRIVE and that is default .......drive it is automatically chosen by the windows then click NEXT


    and after click save settigns and run button


    then after your process will begins


    after the completion of process reboot your PC

    ALL THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!!

    hi,

    This Problem is cause by system upgrade.

    I have solution for your problem, Follow these steps:

    >> Open Start Menu.

    >> Select Run

    >> Type cmd and press ok.

    >> It will open Black Window with command prompt.

    >> type command: control in it and press Enter Key.

    It will open control Panel.
