    What to do if windows displays “registry changes have been disabled by administrator"?

    When I try to make any changes in Registry, it displays an error “registry changes have been disabled by administrator ”. How can i make any changes again in Registry.

    Many times you may get this message because of a virus that can be in your computer.Virus creators like to disable the Registry Editor so it makes solving the problem and removing the issue difficult.


    Need not worry about it as you can enable registry changes if you have the administrator privilages.


    ::::If you are a windows vista follow the given steps::::

    • Create a file named "regedit.vbs" on your desktop(on at any other place).

    • Open it in note pad and paste the following code inside it

    • Go to the folder where it is located and double click on that to execute it .

    To enable the registry settings here you have tips

    Tip 1:

    --> Open run prompt type gpedit.msc
    --> Navigate User Configuration> Administrative Templates> System
    --> Double click on Prevent access to registry editing tools at right side
    --> There you will have three options enable one by one one of those will fix this problem

    Tip 2:


    --> Open run prompt and paste the following
    REG add HKCU\software\Microsoft\Winows\CurrentVersion\Poli cies\System /v Disable RegistryTools /t REG_DWORD /d 0 /f
    --> Click enter
    --> Now try to make registry changes

    Follow these steps:

    1.Click start>Run.

    2.Enter gpedit.msc and press enter.

    3.Navigate in the following way.


    User Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> System


    4.In the settings pane,locate the prevent access to registry tools option double-click on it to open a settings dialog box.

    5. Select disabled or not configured.

    6.Click OK button

    7.RESTART your computer.

    dear friend,

    Follow these guidelines to solve your problem-

    Click on the Start button.

    Type Run in the search box.

    Click on the Run icon & Run tab will appear.

    Type
    gpedit.msc in the edit field & click on OK.

    Go to the User Configuration.

    Select Administrative template & Choose System.

    Double click on the Prevent access to registry key option.

    Now a settings dialog box will open.

    Change the settings-i.e disable it & select OK.

    Now restart your machine to save changes.

    Hope it'll solve your problem.
