What has to be done for changing region code in Windows Media Player (DVD) installed on Windows 7?

My current location has changed as I moved to my new apartment. I need to change the region code in Windows Media Player available on my PC running on Windows 7 accordingly. I want to change the settings for DVD player. What are the steps for that?

Navigate to the bottom part of the desktop and click the ‘Start’ button. Then, locate the search field from start menu and type devmgmt.msc into it. Hit the ‘Enter’ key afterwards and wait until the search results pop up on the screen. You can view ‘internal CD/DVD driver’ option among the available list. Click the plus sign next to this option for expanding it. After that, right click on the sub item visible under that option and select ‘Properties’ from the pop-up menu. Click the ‘DVD region’ option available inside ‘Properties’ windows. Choose the appropriate region in DVD region and press the ‘OK’ button. You can change the DVD region settings only for maximum 5 times.

    Hi.
    Follow the below methods:
    Method 1: Change DVD region
    >>Click Start, type devmgmt.msc and hit enter to open Device Manager.
    >>Double-click DVD/CD-ROM drives, right-click the DVD drive you want, and then click Properties.
    >>On the DVD Region tab, make the changes you want.

Note: To configure your DVD drive to play discs from other regions, select a geographic area from the list of regions. Typically, you would select the region in which you reside. It is not usually necessary to change the setting again. The region settings can be changed only a limited number of times. When Changes remaining equals 1, and you select a new region, an alert will be displayed warning you that after this, you will only be able to play DVDs from that region. Be aware that you might not be able to change the region setting for some DVD hardware and software decoders.

Method 2: If the issue persists, run Windows Media Player DVD troubleshooter and check the result.
Open the Windows Media Player DVD troubleshooter by clicking the Start button, and then clicking Control Panel. In the search box, type troubleshooter, and then click Troubleshooting. Click View all, and then click Windows Media Player DVD.

    Thank you.
