What has to be done for setting up a background picture for ‘Photo’ app in Windows Phone 8?

Even though it is possible to save and manage pictures through ‘Photo’ app in my Windows Phone 8, I later observed that the app is using only the existing pictures as background. I want to set a particular picture as background for ‘Photo’ app. What should I do for that?

The first step required is to open the ‘Photos’ app in your phone. You can open it from either app list or pinned tile. Once the app get loaded on the screen, go to the bottom part and hit the three small dots button. This will bring up a menu from which tap the ‘Choose background’ option. Then, you can view the list of albums available on your phone. Locate the picture you want to set as background from that collection and make a single tap over it. Go to the bottom part of the page and press the ‘Check’ button. Switch into the main interface afterwards and check whether the background gets changed or not.
