What is the option to set Lenovo windows notebook to intimate on newly available updates?

I am not getting any intimation from my Lenovo windows notebook on the newly arriving updates on my gadget. I have to check it manually each time to know if any update is available. How can I set my device to intimate on newly available updates automatically?

    Hi,

The simple option by which you will be notified by the computer insted of doing updation by your self is called "Auto Update".

The provision must be turned off in your computer and thats why you dont get automatic notifications.

    Go to :

START > CONTROL PANEL > SYSTEM AND SECURITY > WINDOWS UPDATE > here you have option to set Auto update on/off, else Click WINDOWS UPDATE > CHANGE SETTING and set auto update to your choice.

This will relieve you from the headache of updating manually.

    Thanks.

    Hi.
To Turn on and use Automatic Updates for Windows Vista or Windows 7 follow the below steps:
    >>Click Start, type Windows update in the search box, and then click Windows Update in the Programs list. >>In the left pane, click Change settings.
    >>Select the option that you want.
    >>Under Recommended updates, select the Give me recommended updates the same way I receive important updates or Include recommended updates when downloading, installing, or notifying me about updates check box, and then click OK.

To Turn on and use Automatic Updates for Windows XP follow the below steps:
    >Click Start, click Run, type sysdm.cpl, and then press ENTER.
    >Click the Automatic Updates tab, and then click to select one of the following options.
    >>select the Automatic (recommended) Automatically download recommended updates for my computer and install them option.
    >>Download updates for me, but let me choose when to install them
    >>Notify me but don't automatically download or install them
    >Click OK.

    Thank you.
