    Steps to Install Classic Mode Start Button in Windows 8 :

    1. From the desktop, right-click the taskbar, point to Toolbars and select “New toolbar.”
    2. Type or copy and paste the following path into the Choose a folder window: %ProgramData%\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs
    3. Click the “Select Folder” button and you’ll get a Programs menu on your taskbar.
    4. Right-click the taskbar and uncheck “Lock the taskbar” if you want to move the new Programs menu around.
    5. Drag and drop the grip at the left side of the toolbar to place it somewhere else on the taskbar, like at its left side — the Start menu’s traditional location.
    6. Right-click the “Programs” text if you want to change or hide its name. After you’re finished, right-click the taskbar again and select “Lock the taskbar.”
    7. Now, Install ViStart, a Third-Party Start Button
    8. ViStart:It was originally designed to add a Windows 7-style Start button to Windows XP, so it’s basically a re-implementation of the Windows 7 Start button. And it works on Windows 8.
    9. ViStart needs to install other software when you install it – click the Decline button.
    10. After it’s installed, you’ll see the Windows 7-style Start orb back at the left side of your taskbar.

    Re: What is the procedure to install Windows 8 in classic mode with start button?

    Here’s the procedure … I am warning you now that it’s a little long-winded.

    1-First, open Notepad and paste the following script file code into it.

    [Shell]
    Command=2
    IconFile=Explorer.exe,3
    [Taskbar]
    Command=ToggleDesktop

    Save the file somewhere where you’ll remember. It doesn’t matter what you call it but it must have the .scf file extension.

    2-Go to Control Panel > System and Security > Administrative Tools and then click on Task Scheduler.

    3-Select Task Scheduler Library.In the task area, right click and select Create New Task…

    4-Give the new task a name.Click on the Triggers tab and then on New …

    5-Set the task to begin At log on and then click OK.Click the Actions tab and then New…

    6-Click the Browse button and navigate to the script you created earlier and then click OK.

    7-Click on the Conditions tab and uncheck Start the task only if the computer is on AC power and then click OK.

    8-Close the Task Scheduler.Restart the system and see if your script works.

    I warned you earlier that while this tweak works, it’s a bit rough. The biggest problem with it is that it opens Windows Explorer in the Libraries folder when you log on. There can also be a little delay in loading the desktop at the beginning. But if you’re happier booting to the ‘Classic’ desktop than the Metro Start Screen, then this is a good solution.
