There should be an Icon at the immidiet right side of the START icon, which is something like an Triangle "ArrowHead", which works as the start button of the Windows Media Player, and created automatically wile Windows was installed.

That is the simplest shortcut of WMP.

Re: What is the shortcut for windows media player in windows 7? Is there any or I have to create it?

It is very easy to make shortcut to open window media player.

First of all go to start menu.

Now go to window media player.

Now there will be an icon located on taskbar showing that window media player is opened.

Now you have to locate that icon, click on it and drag it near the start menu.

Now it is pinned permanently near start menu on task bar in Desktop.

    Dear friend,

You will not see any shortcut for Windows Media Player in your Desktop.

You will have to create it on desktop.

However, you will see it on the Taskbar.

Just tap on the Start Menu and drag the Windows Media Player on the Desktop.

After this, Windows Media Player shortcut will be created on the Desktop.
