    What should I do if shutdown option will restart Windows XP PC?

    My shutdown option not working properly on windows XP. If i am pressing shutdown option then PC will restart automatically. I am facing a weird issue from last three days. Can anyone suggest me, why i am facing this issue. How to resolve it as soon as possible!!

    this is funny problem right .

    anyway hi,

    you can solve this problem with only your windows re installation

    >> because this is an System failure or system file crack problem ...

    >> just restore or re install only can solve your problem ..

    for restore you have re start your pc and then ..

    press f8 and choose safe mode and in this you can restore your windos xp..


    this can solve your problem..

    Hi dear friend..............to get rid of this problem ......follow the below procedure

    first of all insert the XP CD in to the ROM ....now restart the PC

    then press DELETE key from the keyboard then select the Boot menu and choose the boot option

    then press ENTER to boot from CD ........after selecting language options

    press letter R from the keyboard at this session ...that is observe the below image
    repair1.jpg then follow the onscreen instructions

    after the completion of process ... your issue will be fixed

    The situation is awkward and reasons behind that are varied, here's some of them.

    Do you have Roxio CD creator Ver 5.0 software installed or Easy CD creator ver 5.0 installed in your computer.
    These two programs create problems for windows,
    Either download updates from website and update those softwares , or uninstall them now.

    Try to check the situation, if the problem is gone fine , else, take the following steps.
    Click My Computer--Properties--Advanced--Settings--Startup and Recovery,
    clear the checkbox against Automatically Restart, under System Failure and click OK.

    Exit, Reboot and check the system functionality.
