What should I do to made Nvidia 9500GT video card work in Windows 7?

I recently reformatted my PC with Windows 7 Home Premium OS and right after that whenever I boot my PC with Nvidia 9500GT video card I get some weird lines in the middle of screen right after Windows 7 loads up. Why this is happening? I tried running from the normal on board graphics and it seems to work fine. I am sure there is not issue with the Video card as it worked properly when I am playing high end games. So can you tell me is it because my Graphics card not supported in Windows 7 OS? Is there anyway to fix this problem and make it work properly?

    dear friend,

Since you can play high graphics games in your computer without any disturbances , so there is no problem with the graphics card.

For there are many issues to judge, whichever is working properly or not.

Go through the following possibles issues which are responsible for this kind of display error-

    1. If your chipset driver is too old then upgrade it to the latest.

    2. If you are using older display drivers & older graphics card driver then upgrade these all.

    3. Try to switch off your sound system while launching your OS.

    4. Check whether your RAM became slow or not. Perform memory test to see the performance of your RAM.

    5. Sometimes graphics card clock rate make disturbances to RAM clock rate. Try to lock the GPU & the video RAM clock rate, so that GPU clock rate can't interrupt the RAM clock rate.

    6. Sometimes overheating problem arises this kind of issue. Try to set a fan in front of your computer to blow up the warm air.

    7. Try to set your system in a way that acceleration graphics port (AGP) works slowly at the time of start up.

    8. Most importantly check your power supply. Sometimes loose connection can arise this problem which may led your computer to serious damage.

    9. Open up the CPU & remove the graphics card from the slot. After a neat cleaning of your motherboard, reassemble all the parts.

    10. Check whether your monitor is working properly or not. It may happen that at the time of start up your monitor is not getting the power fully.

Hope solving these error will resolve your issue.

    Hey friend,
There is no compatibility issues of windows 7 with the Nvidia 9500GT.

This problem is generally occurs due to the hardware problem , means there is some problem with your graphis card or
with the Slot at which you have inserted the graphics card so if your motherboard have another slot then change the
graphics card slot and try to use again hope your problem must be solved by this.

If still you think that this may be due to the incompatibility of drivers or sofwtware something then update the drivers by using following steps:-

-first right click on the my computer and go to manage.
-now go to the device manager
-here select your nvidia graphics card and right click on it.
    -select the update driver option.

now restart your pc Driver problem will be solved.

    hello friend,
As you said that your graphic card is surely works properly. but your still facing problem like weird lines means its mainly due to
    1) The operating system your using i.e windows 7 Home Premium does not support or provide you full reliable, efficient features
so you can choose Windows 7 ultimate os it will support the graphics very moderately and efficiently its an graphic based os only
    2) This issue or error may also occur when you did not installed your driver cd properly. so try to install all the applications present in the in your system say like
Direct x install the latest version update your version on net so that it can utilize all its features properly.
    3) There is also another way of occurence of this problem if your graphics driver cd does not support windows 7/vista os then they is chance of not properly working of your graphic card.
    4) you can also install windows xp os which is the default and supports all features so you install this operating system you can overcome this issue

    Hello Dear Friend...

I think if you are facing this problem, then the problem might occur with your graphic card.
As this problem faced by many user, so the suggested precautions by the people that when we use graphic card from a very long time, the upper and lower layer of the garphic card surface is covered with lots of carbon due to which it creates weird lines in the middle of the screen.
The same problem happens in TV remotes, Chargeable cell, and tape recorded, etc...,

The best option is to solve this issue is to use the thinner or some dust cleaning solutions.
Put some thinner on a tissue paper or a small piece of cotton or clothe.
Hold the wet surface of thinner from the first finger and rubbed it gently.
Rubbed both the side of the graphic card and clean it properly.
Don't use thinner again and again and when you finished with this, leave the graphic card for some time.
Make sure that your CPU also not cover with internal dust, if something like this, then clean your CPU as well.
Now club all the things together and restart PC. Install all its drivers properly and check the screen of your Desktop and now you won't get any wired lines anymore.

If problem still persist, then contact at your computer shop.

    thanks...

    Hi,

Syrely the display driver or the video card driver that you had installed is having an issue with the sytem.
After the formatting and re installing the Geforce driver software became partially corrupt and unable to deliver full function.
Do dislodge the display card from the slot, clean the goldfingers of it and the slot should also cleaned by blowing air into it, reinstall the card firmly.
Uninstall the existing display driver, then insert the driver software cd in the drive and install afresh, if needed download a new driver from the net by providing the model and make of the card, and install it in the system.
I`m sure you will be back to the old days with a perfect display in your computer.
    Thank you.
