What should I do to recover deleted files in windows

I am using windows 7 but not a technocrat so don't have much knowledge about its behaviour. I don't have anything to complain about windows 7 but I have made a big mistake. Actually I have deleted some files by mistake. These files are really very important for me so I want to recover these files again. What should I do for the same?

Microsoft introduced this feature after windows 95 which automatically transfers your deleted items to Recyle Bin. This is indeed a great feature which allows you to recover deleted files as well. To recover those deleted files, Move to the desktop,Open the Recylce Bin.Now you would be able to see the list of delete files. Simply choose your desired file and right click on it.You will see some options.Just click on "Restore " Options. The file will automatically move to its Previous location.

    Hi.
When you delete a file from your computer, it's temporarily stored in the Recycle Bin. This gives you an opportunity to recover accidentally deleted files from the Recycle Bin and restore them to your computer.
    >>On the desktop, double-click Recycle Bin.
    >>Do one of the following:>To restore a file, right-click it, and then click Restore > To restore all of the files, on the toolbar, click Restore all items.
The files will be restored to their original location on your computer.

    Thank you.

Re: What should I do to recover deleted files in windows

    Hello friend,

I have the solution for your problem just do as i say..........

If you have lost the files of Windows 7 OS then you follow the below steps.

1.Firstly go to the start menu.

2.Then you go to the Local Disk:C and open it's properties.

3.Now you go to 'Tools' option and click on 'Backup now'.

Or if you lost the files which are not related to your OS then you do as i say....

1.You can also backup to the drive which you want.

If it is not possible then do this.

1.Firstly you download the 'Panda Recovery'.

2.You can download it by going to 'http://www.pandorarecovery.com/'.

3.Then you install this software and restore the files which you want.
Note:-You cannot restore the files which you have deleted by pressing 'Shift + Delete'.Other than that after deleting from the recycle bin also you can restore them back.

    Have a nice day.....................

    Dear Friend!!
If you have deleted the fileusing only delete key, you can restore the files but if you have hard deleted the files.i.e. shift+delete, then you need a software that can be downloaded for a fixed time duration and after that you have to pay for its use.
Its name is -Recuva and can be downloaded from Third party vendor.

    Hello !!

if you have deleted those file temporarly than it might be present in the recycle bin if you are quite fortunate.
so,just go to recycle bin and restore those file to its original postion.
of if you have deleted those files permanently than you have one and only one option with you.
    download tune up utilities from:-

    http:\\www.softonic.com\tuneuputilities\downloads

and you can easily abke to restore those permanently deleted files.
because permanently deleted files remain in hard disk for 30 days.

    Hi,

All the files DELETED by you are primarily stored in the space called RECYCLE BIN, icon of which you can find on the desktop.

It was created for creating a step between permanent removal and temporary removal.

Click on RECYCLE BIN and you will find the list of the deleted items in a screen, click to select those or all files you need to recover, again click "Restore All Items"
    to recover the deleted files.

    Thanks.

Re: What should I do to recover deleted files in windows

When a file is deleted from your computer, its contents aren't immediately destroyed. Windows simply marks the hard drive space as being available for use by changing one character in the file table. If you manage to start an undelete process before Windows overwrites that part of hard disk with new files. You can set that flag back to "on" and get your file.

As I know, you can download some free recovery software as follow to recover deleted files.

Note:Stop using the current disk as main disk, please keep it unchangeable before recovering the files.

    1.Panda Recovery

Pandora Recovery actually recovers files permanently removed from Recycle Bin, files originally deleted using Shift + Delete keys bypassing Recycle Bin and files deleted from DOS prompt. Pandora Recovery allows you to find and recover recoverable deleted files from NTFS-formatted volumes, regardless of their type - you can recover pictures, songs, movies or documents. Setup file is 2.12 MB in size. For more information, please visit the following link.

    Panda Recovery

    2.TOKIWA DataRecovery

DataRecovery is freeware and written by TOKIWA to undelete accidentally deleted files even from recycle bin. It supports FAT12, FAT16, FAT32 and NTFS undeletion. Even in both NTFS compressed files and EFS encrypted files. Zip file is only 198 KB in size, no installation required and itís portable.

    Download: TOKIWA DataRecovery

    3.Undelete Plus

Undelete Plus is a quick and effective way to restore accidentally deleted files. It can also recover files that have been emptied from the Recycle Bin, permanantly deleted files within Windows using the Shift + Delete, and files that have been deleted from within a Command Prompt. Undelete Plus works under Win 95/98/Me/NT/2000/XP/2003/Vista operating systems. The program supports all Windows file systems for hard and floppy drives including FAT12/16/32,NTFS/NTFS5 and image recovery from CompactFlash, SmartMedia, MultiMedia and Secure Digital cards. Program is only 583 KB in size and requires no installation. Portable. For more information, please visit the following web site.

However, if you are not familiar with above application, I highly recommend that you contact Data Recovery Company for support.
