Well it's bit strange but true that I can not find Start button in windows 8 RP thus I have shut down directly by using power off. Can anyone tell me where I can find that in windows 8 release preview?

Hello my friend,
Windows 8 does not have start menu instead it has start screen.
BUT you can pin apps, contacts, and websites to Start to easily access what you use most.
but you can view the start button by pressing the Window key.
you can also point your mouse to the upper-right corner of the screen and then clicking the Start charm.
ALL the best.
In order to see the Start option/button go to bottom left corner of the desktop.
In Windows 8 Start menu has been upgraded to a whole new level for extreme user friendly experience.

IN windows 8 then you start your system you found various options in your start screen.
In windows 8 your start button is replaced by the start screen.
because this windows is basically for the touch screen users.
At start screen from various options one is the desktop.
All the programs you install is also appear in your start screen bi default so that you dont feel lack of start button.
you can go to desktop from start screen desktop option.

Hello friend,
There is no solution for your problem.
Because in Windows 8 there will be no start menu or start button.
There will be only start screen.
There you can find all the options on these start screen.
From there only you can proceed to any where there you go to the 'Desktop'.
There you can find the start button near the taskbar.
Have a nice day.........
Hi,
Windows 8 is a new generation Operating System with new ideas.
It doesnot hava a conventional START button or START MENU, which is replaced by a START SCREEN, the whole screen is tiled and tiles are representative of programs, click any and it will run.
Yet if you insist on having a START BUTTON, there are three free third party utilities ( www.classicshell.sourceforge.net, www.lee-soft.com/vistart , www.startmenu.com )
they will provide the classic START button on your Windows 8 desktop.
Thanks.
Dear friend,
In Windows 8 the start menu will not visible in the screen. All the applications are visible in larger on the start screen itself. To find the start menu follow my steps.
Go to the metro screen of your Windows 8.
Then click on the 'Desktop' icon.
Then you can go to the desktop.
There you can see the start menu or start button in the Windows 8.
Thanks.............
