Firstly, your DVD may be of Blu-Ray Disk.
Secondly, it may be multi-layered DVD which may be not running on your DVD drive.
Thirdly, it may be having virus due to which your antivirus is prohibiting to open it.

Hello,
Many a times it happens that some DVD ROM do not run certain types of DVDs'
For example i have a DVD ROM which do not play the pirated DVDs on it.
So you dont have to worry bout it.
Just check what types of DVDs it does not run.
There maybe a case that your DVD ROM is damaged or corrupted.
You can get it checked in the company repair center.

This is mainly because of dust in your dvd lens.
Get some DVD lens cleaner and clean your dvd lens.
dvd lens cleaner is like a ordinary cd /dvd except it has fine brushes to clean your dvd lens.

Hi, Dear friend
It might be the problem of reading Disc or drivers
So, first of all check whether the inserted DVD working properly or not...........and also check with another disc
and if in case of Other also the same exists .....Try to Run the PC in CLEAN BOOT MODE and check if it helps....and for the clean boot mode ... follow the below procedure
press windows key+R and type msconfig and click OK
now tap on GENERAL tab....and choose SELECTIVE start UP and un check Load start up items
then tap on Services tab and uncheck Hide all microsoft services and then click Disable all button
and now select Startup tab .. and click Disable all button
and then restart the PC ..... now login with ADMIN account.........and now check again
and again still the problem persists..... Simply update or re-install the drivers of DVD drive to get the solution .... that is go to device manager ...and expand DVD/CD-ROM drives...and right click on it ...and choose Update or Uninstall option...... and re-install the Drivers
Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!
