Why does my voice sound different on mic plugged to Windows laptop?

The voice through the mic attached through my Windows laptop sounds deep and different unlike mine as I have used a voice changer. My friends on Skype donít even recognize my voice anymore. How can this be fixed?

This could have been caused by the voice app that could have come preinstalled on the laptop. You could try the Mic on another laptop to see if it was causing the same effect. If it is replacing the mic would do. If it is not the case we would have to look at your laptop to solve the issue. You could check the settings for sound in the Windows. If yours is an OEM preinstalled window, you could find the setting in OEM utilities. Otherwise try the start menu and search for it in the system notification area. In the settings you could disable sound convertor. In case your laptop contains a sound card check its settings also.

    Dear friend,
You are saying that you have used a voice changing software. This is a problem caused by this voice software.
To solve this problem you have two change the settings for your recording devices.
For doing this, Right click on the speaker icon shown in the system tray. Go for "Recording devices". A new window "Sound" will appear.
In this window, select the options which match with the Sound driver off your hardware such as the Realtek High Definition Audio.
Right click on that option and choose "Set as a default device".
    Click on Apply then OK.
Now your problem will be solved.
    Thanks!
