    Why drag over batch files did not work in windows XP professional?

    Hi friends help me as my drag and drop feature over batch file is not working how can I fix it show me the steps in details.

    Solution :
    See if this command helps, from Start/Run:


    cmd /c ftype batfile="%1" %*
    cmd /c assoc .bat=batfile

    now if you write a batch file like:
    echo file:--
    file:--
    before result may be of something like
    echo file: -"c:\a directory\readme.txt"-
    > file: -"c:\a directory\readme.txt"-

    hi my dear friend.....if the drag and drop features are not working then use the other commands

    like xcopy, move.....and try these steps it may be helps you.....

    1. first click on the start menu and open control panel

    2. then open the the system and security

    3. then click on the Internet options

    4. In that window choose security tab

    5. then click on the custom level

    6. there you scroll down and find drag and drop or copy paste files and check whether it is enabled or not.
