Try logging in into Safe Mode by pressing F8 at boot time.Open up the MSCONFIG window by pressing Win + R and then typing 'msconfig' (without the quotes) in the box and pressing Enter.Go to the Startup tab and disable any un-necessary services that might be starting up at boot time.Check if all drivers are properly installed. If the System is unable to find a proper driver for a particular device,it is likely to freeze. If the problem persists, click on Start, type cmd and press Ctrl + Shift + Enter to start Command Prompt at elevated privileges.Type sfc /scannow and press Enter.Restart after the process ends.

    Hope that would be useful.
