Re: Window shut down taking too long time

The long shut down time taken by Windows may have the following reasons behind the situation.

    1. Virus infection, removing which speed will increase.
    2. lots of programs installed, removed unimportant ones to improve.
    3. lack of memory, add more RAM to your system.
    4. clean disk using Disk Cleanup tool of windows and remove garbage files.
    5. clean temp folder and temporary files by typing %temp%, in Command Prompt and clean all temp files.
    6. run Disk Defragmenter to manage files and disk space in HDD.

All the steps will increse speed dramatically.

Re: Window shut down taking too long time

    Method 1

Empty your Temporary Internet Files folder each time you quit Internet Explorer. To do so, follow these steps:
Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
Double-click Internet, and then click the Advanced tab.
Under Security, click the "Delete saved pages when browser closed" check box to select it, and then click OK. NOTE: This does not delete content in the Cookies, History, or Subscription folders.

    Method 2

Maintain each user's temporary Internet files in the user's Home directory. Although this still consumes server storage, it does not require that the files be copied to the server when users log off.
    Method 3

Maintain all users' temporary Internet files in a shared common folder. Note that if you use this method, all user's cookies are stored in the same location.
    Method 4

Maintain each user's temporary Internet files on the local drive in a location other than the user's profile folder. This is the most efficient method

    2. Use CCleaner to clean up your computer.

    3. Run Disk Defragmenter to manage files.

    This will surely help.

    My dear friend,

As you said that your computer takes too long time for shut down, then there are many reason behind it.The reasons to take long time are:-

1.Your computer or laptop may contain the viruses due to which it take long to time to carry out any of the function. So if you want to speed up your computer then you have to remove those virus.

2.If the hard disk is full then remove the unimportant program files.

    ncrease-computer-speed.jpg

3.If the RAM of your computer is less then please increase it.Because this is the main reason behind the low speed of your computer.

4.Every time, don't forget to remove the temporary internet files.

5.To remove the temporary files, type %temp% either in the command prompt or in RUN.

    speed_screenshot2.jpg

6.Remove the unwanted software or any other games from your system because these are the main causes to decrease the speed of the system.

I think,if you take care of these all then you system will work properly.

    Thank u!!

    Dear friend,

Your PC has been infected with a strong virus may be Trojan Horse, etc.

You must remove it from a good antivirus.

Or, also you can re-install your Windows OS.

After re-installing the Windows OS, you will not experience this problem anymore.

Actually, a virus has infected your Windows OS that is preventing Windows to safely shut down.
