Windows 7 can be booted only in the Safe mode, why so?

When I start up Windows 7 on my PC, I am able to select only safe mode instead of normal mode. Why is this so and how can I switch to normal state?

To avoid this issue, you have to uncheck the ‘Safe boot’ option available in System Configuration. For that, you should first of all click on the ‘Start’ button after your PC has started up in Safe mode. Then, you should click on ‘msconfig.exe’ option from the list obtained after typing ‘msconfig’ in search box. You should type administrator password or confirmation thereafter, if needed. Then, you click on the ‘Boot’ tab in System Configuration dialog box. You can then view ‘Safe boot’ option with a check box along with it under the ‘boot’ option. Uncheck that box and click on the ‘Apply the Setting’ button. Finally, you should restart your PC and check whether the issue has got solved or not.

This kind of problem may occur due to missing start-up files.
To fix this problem insert OS DVD of same version and run Repair your computer. (Appears at bottom of the screen)
If any OS files damaged those will replaced with new files.
Hope windows repair will solve your problem.

    Solution :

    (Windows 7) - Wallpapers4Desktop.com 076.jpg
    a) What happen when you’re trying to boot in the normal mode? Do you get any error message?
    b) Is it an upgrade installation or custom installation?
Make sure that you uncheck the safe boot option in system configuration, please follow the steps below:
    1. Once the computer boots into safe mode, click the Start button, type msconfig in the search box, and then, in the list of results, click msconfig.exe. If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
    2. In the System Configuration dialog box, click the Boot tab.
    3. Under boot option Uncheck the box next to Safe boot and apply the settings and restart the computer.
    I hope this information helps.
