Windows 7 computer keep locking after the inactivity of few minutes

I have windows 7 computer which works fine but it is getting locked after the inactivity of few minutes. There is no meaning of locking because i am not using any kind of password. Is there any method to disable the same?

You will have to change the setting of Screen Saver. To do the same, right click on the desktop and then choose "Personalize" option. After that, click on the screen saver on the botom of Personalization window. Have a look on "Wait box" and increase the number of minutes. Actually, it represent the time after which your screen will be locked. If you want to disable the password protection, uncheck the box which shows "On Resume, display logon screen". If you want to change your screen saver then click on drop down box and under "Screen Saver", choose a different screen saver.

Re: Windows 7 computer keep locking after the inactivity of few minutes

The sleeping of the computer is happening due to the option sleep/hibernation is selected and a small time wait is set after which it should get active and send computer to sleep, insted of keeping it alive and showing desktop or any other screen.

Go to control panel--system and security--power option--in here you will find options to set sleep time, hibernation time, and many more options.

Select sleep time and adjust the time limit, same with the hibernation option and set to a new time limit. even you can turn them off which will never through your system in sleep mode, but will consume lots of power being active all the time.

Once set, exit, reboot and the system will behave differently.
