    Windows 7 computer is not visible in Macbook Pro's Network

    I have a MAC Book Pro on my network. I also have windows 7 computer. I want to transfer files these devices in network but windows 7 is not visible in MAC. I have done everything according to my knowledge but the problem is still there. Am i missing something?

    It seems that you haven't configured your windows 7 computer to let other computers on your network to see it. You can do this by navigating to start button >> control panel>> View Network Status and Tasks >> Chage advanced sharing settings (On the left)>> Home or Work (click on on drop down arrow)>> Turn on network discovery). On your MAC, Go to Finder and choose "Go:Connect to Server".Now enter the remote PC's SMB file path. An example for it is "smb://win7".Here win7 is the name of windows 7 computer.Once done,try to do whatever you want.
