Windows 7 deletes items in extremely low speed

Whenever I try to delete any folders or files on my laptop running on Windows 7, it will show the message “discovering files” for about 30 to 60 seconds. The file delete process is also very slow on my system. What steps should I take to avoid this delay?

Boot up your system into Safe Mode and see whether the issue still persists or not. Press F8 key repeatedly while starting up your computer until you can see advanced boot options on the screen. Select the ‘Safe Mode’ from those options by using Up/Down arrow keys and press the ‘Enter’ key on keyboard. Once you can view the welcome screen, log into your system using administrator account. If you can find the issue in Safe Mode, then perform a clean boot on your system. Press the ‘Start’ button and type msconfig into search box before pressing the ‘Enter’ key. Type in the password or click the ‘Continue’ button while you are prompted for administrator password or confirmation. Clear off the check box next to ‘Load Startup Items’ label under ‘Selective Startup’ item. Press the ‘Service’ tab and click the check box next to ‘Hide All Microsoft Services’ label. Click on the ‘Disable All’ button afterwards and press the ‘OK’ button. Restart your PC by the time you get a prompt message.

    Hello friend,

I have the solution for your problem just do as i say..............

1.Firstly try to back up your system so that you may get back the lost files.
As the deleting of system files may also rise this problem.

2.Or try to check that any update has been done recently in your computer.
As some updates will cause many defaults to computer. So it is better to uninstall
    if it possible.

3.Or it may be the problem of the virus or the malware which affected your computer.
So it is better to install a good antivirus software in your computer like
    1.Kaspersky,
    2.AVG,
    3.Avast,
    4.nod32 etc,................

Install any one of these software's and scan your computer for virus. If you find
any virus in your computer try to delete or clean that files.

I hope you can fix your problem.

    Have a nice day......

    Hi,

The problem in your system might arise from different sources and to remove that you need to check a number of issues.

First of all SAFE MODE boot the computer by pressing F8 and check if the minimum installation can help you your quest to solve the issue.

Check the system with a good Antivirus-Antispyware-Malwarebyte and clean the system from any malicious program.

Registry edit can solve your problem though suggestion is that dont try unless you are an expart else the whole system can be usless with a damaged registry.

    thanks.
