Windows 7 fails to connect to a Network Printer.

I have a network of 5 computers and there is one printer which is shared by all the machines, but I have the problem with Windows 7 machine which always fails to identify the connected printer. No issues with other printers everything works fine with other machines running on XP and Vista. Please help me to fix this problem.

Re: Windows 7 fails to connect to a Network Printer.

Hi dear friend.............to solve the above issue.....follow these

First of all check whether the Cable are connected properly or not

and also check the power check to make sure that the printers power switch is turned on

if you are printing to a shared printer or a printer on a network make sure that all necessary computers, routers, and printers are turned on

and if still the problem persists perform the Troubleshoot ........ that is go to control panel and type trouble shoot in the search box

and click TROUBLE SHOOTING ....and choose HARDWARE AND SOUND option ....and next click on PRINTER

then click on ADVANCED and provide the Admin confirmation and click NEXT....and follow the onscreen instructions

and also update the printer Drivers.........or download and install the Drivers yourself

    ALL THE BEST!!!!!!!!

    Dear friend,

If you have properly installed your printer driver (compatible) on Windows 7 and
your problem is not solved, follow these steps to get your problem solved:

    1. Go to Start> Control Panel> Devices and Printers.
    2. Click on menu "Add a printer".
    3. In the Add Printer wizard, select "Add a network, wireless or Bluetooth printer".
    4. Wait until, the "Searching for available printers" page, finishes its search,
    5. Now select the your printer shown in the window, and click "Next".
    6. Complete the on-screen steps instructions, and then click "Finish".

    Thanks!

Re: Windows 7 fails to connect to a Network Printer.

To add any printer in a network you need to follow some basic rules.

    1. connect through proper cable and connectors.
    2. install printer driver which is updated and also compatibpe with your version of windows.
    3. one needs to identify the printer among the computers in the network.
    4. power shoud be turned on during active network session for the printer.

    So check the above points,
Verify pronter status from, control panel--hardware and sound--printer, and vetify if your printer is active or not,
you can reinstall printer from Add Printer Wizard option, and selecting Add a network, wireless or bluetooth printer, follow the guidence and install the printer to dommunicate to your windows7 computer.
