Windows 7 - Getting universal stop symbol in browsers

I am using Windows 7 and recently installed Bitdefender internet security. This caused Windows Explorer to crash and hence I uninstalled internet security. After this, when I browsed through Amazon, I got a "universal stop symbol" and I could not perform the action. The problem persists in all other browsers. What should be done in such a situation?

Re: Windows 7 - Getting universal stop symbol in browsers

    Hello friend...

I would suggest you to start a System restore point from before it began.

    System restore:

It does almost sound like scripting, but you have it in 2 browsers.I would also suggest deleting temp internet files, but again sounds like it happened in opera with a new install.

Try booting to safe mode with networking and see if you get it there.

    Safe Mode:

You can check to see if scripting is disabled in FF, but its unlikely Opera has disabled as well.

You should really check with IE as this confirm 100% is isn't a browser problem.

Delete temp files, and if no fix,try in safe mode.

    Hope this may help you....
