Windows 8 Media Player is not seen in Windows Vista

I installed Windows 8 Media Player in Windows Vista System. When I tried to play an audio file using the Windows Media Player, I could not find it in the programs. When I tried to install it again, it is not installing. What might be the problem? Please, help me in solving the problem.

    Hi,

You can eneble the Windows Features at any point in time.

Click Start > Control Panel > System > Programs > turn Windows Features Off/On.

Here you will find options and + and - signs to activate / deactivate features.

Select Media Features, click on + sign attached, "Tick on Windows Media Player" , exit after saving.

This will set Windows Media Player active.

    Thanks.
