Windows 8 OS supports ARM ( Advanced RISC Machine ) processor which are used in smartphones and tablets? How well it works?

I heard that Windows 8 OS is supported even in ARM processors? Is that true? Is there separated Architecture introduced in Windows 8 for that? How well it works with it?

ARM processor Support:Windows 8 will support the ARM (Advanced RISC Machine) processors, ... to cater the huge market of tablets as well as the otherprocessors. ... This allows you to run multiple operating systems on a single PC means every VM has its own OS .
boon for individuals as well as IT support staffers and A major part of the graphic rendering moved from CPU to GPU and provided a boost in performance.

ARM is a frequently used machine by windowsThe ARM support to the 32 bit Reduced Instruction
Set Computer microprocessors (RISC). which are extensively used in consumer electronics. They
are popularly known as the ARM processors. The low power applications make use of such processors
    owing to its relative simplicity.

Embedded systems are generally sub systems which work as a part of a larger system.
Embedded arm processors contain microcontrollers or digital signal processors. They are
extensively used in mobile phones, pocket calculators, multimedia players, digital assistants, etc.

A 16x32 bit register and an orthogonal instruction set are two of its major features.
The process mostly is completed in a single cycle execution. Advanced power saving
design and load architecture are important among other features of these processors.
The network routers, iPods and such low power embedded applications use the
    Advanced RISC Machine processors.

Thus, along with the benefit of low power consumption, Advanced RISC Machines have
all the capabilities essential for computing. A wide variety of options at low cost are
available for the client to choose from. They include customizable and highly flexible
set of processors. Since the power consumption is low, the battery life of the concerned
equipment will be longer. Heat dissipation systems of such processors are also a boon.
Cooling systems are not necessary for ARM processors.

The licenses of the Advanced RISC Machine processors are given out. As a result,
the number of ARM vendors increase, thereby creating competition. This has in turn
given way to innovative processes, since each one will try to implement novel ideas
to ensure success. All these boost up the popularity of the embedded ARM processors.

Windows 8 is a OS that is built feom the windows kernal
but, it runs in any environment given the hardware requirements are met.
Windows phone 8 and windows tablets, windows surface, laptops and desktops like
it will run in any hardware.
Its built in such a way to work in any hardware,
It can run in the ARM processor also as you mentioned.
