Windows 8 switching from metro mode to desktop mode is very slow

I am still trying to get a hang of using windows 8 in metro mode therefore, I frequently return to desktop mode to get some regular work done. But in my laptop the process of switching to desktop mode and back is very slow. Sometimes I just get tired of waiting and shut down my laptop. Why is it so slow?

    Hi,

In order to find the exact reason for the sluggishness, one will need to get hold of your computer which is not possible, but here are some suggestions.

you should control the number of Apps installed in your system which looks flashy and even works fine but makes Windows slow.

The amount of RAM installed may have the qualification for installing Windows 8 but these are high tech softwares and needs lot of resource to perform.

The HDD space is also a matter of concern, the bigger available space the faster the processing, as bigger page files can be written which act as virtual memory.

Installation of Windows8 should be perfect, custom set.

    thanks.
