Windows explorer crash on drag and drop in Vista

Windows explorer keeps crashing when I drag one file to another folder. The system runs in Vista OS. I have installed MacAfee and scanned. But it went futile. What should be done to overcome this issue?

Re: Windows explorer crash on drag and drop in Vista

    Hello friend...

There is way to edit you registry to fix this, but i think most of the people dont like this because it have unintended impacts.

so i recommended downloading shell extension manager

This little utility will show u all the extensions currently installed.

Open the program and disable all extensions that are not microsoft, windows etc...

Then try to drag and drop

If you need some of the extension then start enabling one by one until you identify the one that's impacting your system..

    Hope this may help you....
