    Windows explorer crashes while changing file associations on HP desktop

    While I tried changing file associations on my windows based HP desktop, the windows explorer keeps on crashing creating inconvenience. What are the options that I can try out to clear off this problem?

    Hello !!!

    please do see that whether your file association has gone corrupt or not.
    we mean to say that the file association you are trying to change is corrupt or not.
    actually, what happens, we sometime changes the file association to the corrupt one and due to this, after programs try to run the corrupted application and this is the reason being that sometime our windows shows message ,"program not responding".

    so, try to ensure that the program whom you are changing file association is not corrupt and damaged.
