I have Windows Vista in my System. I play videos in Windows Media Player. Whenever I turn it into full screen, it becomes unresponsive. I do not know why it is happening. Please, help me in solving the problem.

STEP 1: Open Registry Editor.
STEP 2: Go to “HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\ Preferences” and right click on it.
STEP 3: Tap on the “Edit” Menu.
STEP 4: Go to “New” and click “DWORD Value”.
STEP 5: Type “DXEM_UpdateFrequency” and hit Enter.
STEP 6: Go to “Edit” Menu and click “Modify”.
STEP 7: Type “2” and click “Ok”.
STEP 8: Exit Registry Editor.

Just make sure that the path of the media file that you want to listen or watch is correct. If you've deleted the media file but the playlist is pointing it to the missing file, Windows Media Player won't be able to play the file. Browse for the current location and try playing it again....

To solve that problem try these steps..
===>Click on Start button.
===>Type Windows Media Player into the search box.
===>Right click on appeared windows media player link.
===>Click on Properties.
===>Under the properties dialog box click on Compatibility tab.
===>Under the Compatibility mode box check the checkbox says Run this program in compatibility mode
for.
===>After checking the checkbox the drop-down will enable located just below of it.
===>Select Windows vista from drop-down.
===>Click on Apply and than OK button.
===>After doing so your problem will resolve.

The Windows Media Player`s unresponsiveness can be of the reason of Error in Registry entry which can be corrected by editing Registry.
Most of the time it works but sometimes registry edit fails to provide the desired result.
You need to clean the system for virus presence which can corrupt the files related to WMP.
The last option is to install the Windows Media Player afresh, to do that you need to log in to the Microsoft.com and download a compatible WMP to your computer and install the software.
