    Windows Media player cannot play DVD movies in Windows XP

    I have Windows XP operating system installed in my pc. From few weeks when I am play any DVD file from media player then it won’t play and some time it hangs also. I have checked the file by playing it on another pc, it plays perfectly. So please tell me solution.

    Hi, Dear friend

    To resolve the issue about the windows media player ..... follow these instructions carefully

    first press the windows key + r combination from the keyboard


    then type in that regedit and press ENTER key and click YES


    then Expand the computer option from the left pane


    then expand the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE


    under the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE expad software


    under the software expand microsof


    under the microsoft expand Active desktop


    then expand installed components


    after that choose {6BF52A52-394A-11d3-B153-00C04F79FAA6}


    then double click on the isIstalled option from the right pane


    and set the value 0 to 1......and then reboot your system


    after the login ..... go to start menu and click the windows media player.....and re-install it......

    Hi..

    Some video formats windows media player can not support..

    So need to install another players..

    Present we have number of players available in internet..

    VLC media player..

    KM player

    K lite player


    GOM player

    Install and play with your dvd files..

    Hello Friend,

    There is some technical issue wth your Winodws Media Player. You should fiest uninstall it from your PC bygoing to control panel and then Add/Remove Program. From the program list select Windows Media Player and click remove button. Windows Media Player will be removed from your system. Now, you should download the latest version of the Windows Media Player form the internet and intall i to your PC. Now, check whether you are having the same problem or not. If the answer is yes then there is some compatibility issue with the video. You should download any one of the following media player form the internet and install it to your PC,

    VLC Player
    GOM Player
    KM Player

    Hopefully this will work to your PC.

    Just follow the following option:

    ++++++++Try this method for this issue +++++++++++

    **********Now try to Open Windows Media Player.

    **********Then check players properties.

    **********Now insert windows xp OS DVD and repair media player.

    **********After recovery all corrupted file will repair

    *********Now restart your system.
