    Windows Media Player does not play any video in Windows XP

    I use Windows XP in my System. I normally play videos in Windows Media Player. Whenever I turn it ON and play a video it freezes and closes down I do not know why it is happening. Please, help me in solving the problem.

    STEP 1: Open Registry Editor.
    STEP 2: Go to “HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\ Preferences” and right click on it.
    STEP 3: Tap on the “Edit” Menu.
    STEP 4: Go to “New” and click “DWORD Value”.
    STEP 5: Type “DXEM_UpdateFrequency” and hit Enter.
    STEP 6: Go to “Edit” Menu and click “Modify”.
    STEP 7: Type “2” and click “Ok”.
    STEP 8: Exit Registry Editor.

    HELLO DEAR.

    SOLUTION:-

    >> Dear press window key +R from your computer key board.

    >> Dear run window will appear in front of you .you have to write regedit and press enter.

    >> The registry editor window will appeared in front of you.

    >> Dear now navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\ Preferences.

    >> Dear now right click go to new and the choose dword value.

    >> Now type DXEM_UpdateFrequency and click enter from the key board and then go to edit then choose modify and type 2 .

    >> Dear now click on ok and close the registry editor.

    To solve that problem try these steps...

    ====>Sometimes this kind of problem occurred due to media player corruptness.
    ====>Repair your Windows media player.
    ====>Now try to play a video file with windows media player.
    ====>If you still have an issue than try next steps...
    ====>Download Windows media player coded pack from the internet.
    ====>Download it and install into your system.
    ====>After installing of coded pack your windows media player will play all the video file.

    Try this i hope this will help you.....
