Windows Media Player loads video files very slowly on Windows 8

My laptop has upgraded to Windows 8 few days ago. Since then, the Windows Media Player is taking time to play a video file. It requires about 45 minutes to start playing a 1080p MP4 file. Why is it so and how can I avoid this delay?

    Hi,

The matter of fact is Windows 8 is the latest software with new features and lots of them are yet to be tested and porven.

But that doesn`t mean it will take ages to load a video file.

Make sure the Windows Media Player is compatible to the Windows 8.

Do you use skeleton RAM in your system , the bare minimum RAM can run the program no doubt but High Definition graphics need more than bare minimum spacifications.

Check the space available in your hard disk. If it is almost full, empty some space in order to create Paga File or Virtual Memory by the Windows which helps it to create and use it as cache memory.

Use a Dedicated Graphics Card to get ultimate display.

    Thanks.

    Hi.
    Follow the below steps:

    >>Begin playing a file.
    >>Click the arrow below the Now Playing tab, point to Enhancements, and then click Play Speed Settings.
    >>Move the Play Speed slider to the speed at which you want to play the content, or click the Slow, Normal, or Fast link.
    >>To select speeds between the labeled play speeds, in the Enhancements pane, clear the Snap slider to common speeds check box.
    >>To hide the settings, click the Close button in the Enhancements pane.

    Thank you.

    Hello friend,

I have the solution for your problem just do as i say............

1.Firstly this may be the problem of the old version of Windows Media player.

2.As you have installed the Windows 8 OS you need to install the latest version of the Media player.

3.So you try to update the present version of the media player to the latest version.

4.If it is not possible you uninstall the present media player.

5.Then you go to the website Click Here.

6.From there you download the Windows Media player 12 for Windows 8.

7.After downloading install it and it will work fine.

    Have a nice day.........
