Re: Windows Media Player shuts OFF

The Windows Media Player interacts and uses different drivers , supporting program files , codecs when stays active and plays media.

Any corruption in them as well as hardware components may lead to abnormality in the WMP.

Check the installed codecs and other Add-ons, they can cause havoc if they are not certified by the microsoft to be installed in Windows media player. Uninstall the suspected add-ons and codecs. Download add-ons and codecs from trusted sites only. Installing proper codecs can solve the problem.

At the final stage, use the system restore option to get back to a normal Windows and a normal WMP.

Click start--All programs--accessories--system tools--system restore, and use the option for restoring the system.
