Windows Update Service stopped working on Windows 7 Home Premium.

On my Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit computer, the Windows Update Service not working. Whenever I try to run it, it says that currently cannot check for updates, kindly restart the machine to start the process. I have restarted the machine for the first time, but it never checks for any updates but it always prompts to restart.

    Dear friend,

You can use System Update Readiness Tool provided by Microsoft to resolve the issue with window update service. This tool can also install service packs.
Go to the following link and download this software (64-bit version):

    http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=20858

This program is designed to turn automatically. Just install it and forget. The Windows update service problem will be solved by this software.

    Thanks!
